Retirement tax questions
I just turned 63 and decided to retire and start getting my distribution check from my IRA. I will not fill out for SS benefits until I turn 67, mainly because I want to get the maximum benefit for my wife when she retires at 62, so that she can get 50% of my retirement check. Besides this, if you have enough money in your 401k or IRA, let's say, at least $500k , then you should retire now, get a $5k monthly check and wait until you turn 67 to get benefits. Hope it helps.
