Social Security (case of husband and wife)
I’m 70 yrs. old, already filed Social Security (SS) at age of 70. Currently I receive a monthly payment from about $3,000. My wife is 62 yrs. old, has worked more than 40 yrs. and still working. Per projection from SS she will receive about $2,700 at age of 67 (full retired age). She would like to retire anytime soon..
What is the best options for her?
- When will be best time for her to draw SS? at age 62, 63, 64, 65, or 67?
- If she files SS at age shown in #1 above and will receive a monthly payment... At that time if I suddenly passed away… Will she receive my full monthly payment $3,000? Thanks.
