There is a discrepancy between the form 1099 R of the Turbo tax and the form sent by the state of Maryland and . The form relates to my wife's pension.
In the MD form box 19 says pick up contribution but the Turbo Tax form box 19 calls it local distribution. And on the next page Turbo Tax asks about pick up contribution but mentions it to be part of box 17. But the form 1099 sent by marland calls the box 17 local tax withheld.
In both places ( in the TT form box 19 and on the next page in answer to the question about pick up contribution described as part of box 17 I have written the amount of pick up contribution
I hope when Maryland tax is computed by TT the discrepancy is resolved
