Retirement tax questions
Thank you but I am trying to understand.
My statements are in regards to 2010 - not 2011.
In 2010 I filed stating I had contributed $5,000 to my deductible IRA. The reality is I contributed only $4,286 to my deductible IRA in 2010. It would have been $5,000 had I not forgotten and applied $714 to 2011 instead of 2010. In 2011 I filed that I had contributed a total of $714 to my NON-deductible IRA. SO for 2011, I am not really concerned.
Does that help? I realize it is more than 10 years ago but for my own sanity and documentation, I want to understand the implications, if any.
