Great. I went through the questions and switched to form mode. I'm at the form an there are only 3 choices for box 1 (Report on line 1 of Form 1040; Other Income; and Back Wages from lawsuit). Neither of these seem to apply. My situation is a legal settlement from an investment advisor to compensate for losses caused by a mistake they made - the payment had nothing to do with wages or any work performed by me. The settlement was intended to make me whole.
