I have a $3 error when I listed my estimated tax amount on schedule 5 line 66. (it was my mistake, not TT).
The $3 is an overstatement.
On the brightside -- It's JUST $3. I paid $7,233 but I messed up and rounded up on the quarterly calculation worksheet so the amount totaled $7,236.
My return was both transmitted and accepted today. (It was super fast, like within an hour) I WAS expecting a $1,919 refund but -- it really should only be $1,916.
Should I rush over to EFPTS & deposit a quick $3 to adjust, file an amended return since my transmittal was accepted, or just wait it out till the IRS contacts me of my mistake?
Seriously. Wondering. It's $3. I don't want to get all frantic over $3 but I also want my refund. There's a reason I ended up with a refund, my rental income fell out during the last 1/2 of the year when more people than usual up & moved out without notice or warning. I need that cash....So, I'm kind of curious if $3 will be a processing problem.
Thanks for the advice.
