401k to IRA Rollover | NJ Source of Income Question
In 2020, I rolled over my 401k to an IRA after leaving my employer (changed jobs). I received a 1099-R.
I was successfully able to enter the information and the rolled over amount is successfully getting excluded from my federal tax income (non-taxed income). There is an additional NJ specific question that comes up about the source of income.
For "Where is This Distribution From", the options are:
Military Pension or survivors benefits
Disability benefits
Three-year rule pension or 401(k) benefits
General rule pension or 401(k) benefits
None of the above
What should I be selecting if the distribution is a 401(k) that was rolled into a traditional IRA (non-Roth)?
