Retirement tax questions

State disability benefits are generally not taxable.

 

They are only taxable if they are paid as a substitute for unemployment benefits. In this case, you would receive a form 1099-G.

 

If you did not receive any tax form, then your SDI benefits are not taxble and are not reported on your tax return.
