Retirement tax questions
Thank you. I do not have any other IRAs and I followed the instructions above. Just to clarify, I should be receiving a deduction on the money put into the Roth IRA through the backdoor method, correct? My refund should be increasing. The incorrect part is when Turbo Tax says I don't qualify for a IRA deduction. When I go to form 8606 it shows that the 5500 (the amount I converted) is non taxable on line 13. I have a 0 on 4b on the 1040 form. My refund increases. This is correct?
