Hello, I've used Turbotax to do my Mom's taxes for years. It's usually very simple, just Social security and a US gov pension 1099-R. This year Turbotax is telling me the state tax withheld is in box 14 but on her 1099-R it's in box 12. Box 13 is state ID #. No boxes after that. The program is asking me to confirm that the state withholding is in box 14. What should I do? Just confirm it? This is kind of silly; her taxes usually only takes a few minutes.
