@Tpaoli70 Depending on your state, box 16 could be left blank. Many states take the federal AGI and go from there. If you are in one of those states, box 16 does not have any real value. But, it is the same taxable amount as 2a. Once it gets to the state return, there may be subtractions or credits for your total income. It does not hurt to fill in box 16 with the 2a amount.
