Thank you, AnnetteB6 for the explanation. I exited the "Review" page by signing out, then signed back in and changed the Cost Basis to the positive value and the Sales Proceeds to zero in the Income section (not in the Federal Review section). Worked like a charm; Gain/Loss is now the correct negative number.
