thank you so much that’s a huge help. i’m 18 and filing taxes for the first time and my dad who’s much older rushed me into sending them early and i worked at a restaurant for a month and just forgot about it so i mailed my tax forms in. i get what your saying about waiting and see and i appreciate your well informed answer. i have another question as well. Since my dads older my parents made me a ‘dependent?’ i think i don’t know the terms but basically my dads retired and i receive SSA checks monthly and i also received my tax form on that and it was too late but is that needing to be applied to my fed tax form as well? i’m guessing yes but it’s a weird situation so i can’t find a lot of information anywhere so i really have no idea
