Retirement tax questions
To add a Schedule C:
- Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
- In the Search box type schedule c and click the Jump to link in the search results.
- Answer Yes to Did you have any self-employment income or expenses?
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
- After entering the information about your business, you will come to a screen that says If you get paid through a payment processor, you can save time by importing your payments.
- Click on Import my file and follow the onscreen instruction.
If you have already set up your Schedule C:
- Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
- In the Search box type schedule c and click the Jump to link in the search results.
- Click on Review, then looks good.
- You will come to the screen that says If you get paid through a payment processor, you can save time by importing your payments.
- Click on Import my file and follow the onscreen instruction.
To enter your 1099-R that you received from a previous employer:
- In the Search box type 1099-R, click the Jump to link in the search results.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
