Retirement tax questions

To add a Schedule C:

  1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
  2. In the Search box type schedule c and click the Jump to link in the search results.
  3. Answer Yes to Did you have any self-employment income or expenses?
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions.
  5. After entering the information about your business, you will come to a screen that says If you get paid through a payment processor, you can save time by importing your payments.
  6. Click on Import my file and follow the onscreen instruction.

 

If you have already set up your Schedule C:

  1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
  2. In the Search box type schedule c and click the Jump to link in the search results.
  3. Click on Review, then looks good.
  4. You will come to the screen that says If you get paid through a payment processor, you can save time by importing your payments.
  5. Click on Import my file and follow the onscreen instruction.

 

To enter your 1099-R that you received from a previous employer:

  1. In the Search box type 1099-R, click the Jump to link in the search results.
  2. Follow the onscreen instructions.
