Yes, you can upload a scanned 1099-R file into your TurboTax return.
To upload, please complete the following steps:
- Open your return.
- Search 1099-R with the magnifying glass tool on top of the page.
- Click on the Jump to 1099-R link at the top of the results.
- Answer yes to the question Did you get a 1099-R in 2020?
- Click continue to the page Get ready to be impressed.
- If you want to import your tax information, you can enter your bank name in the search box. If not, click on Change how I enter my form.
- If you are not bringing it over from your bank, you can upload it from your computer or phone with a PDF, JPG, or PNG file.
- Click continue.
- You can upload your scanned file on the page Ok, let's get your 1099-R.
