To enter your social security benefits another way in the program, you can follow these steps to get to the correct screen:
- Open your tax return in TurboTax.
- Search social security benefits with the magnifying glass tool on the top of the page.
- Select the Jump to social security benefits link at the top of the search results.
- Select yes to the question Did you receive Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits in 2020?
- Select the type of 1099 you received.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the information.
