Retirement tax questions

It depends on the menu path you performed when you reported your 1099 RRB. Did you follow this path when you reported this?

  1. Wages and income>retirement plans and social security>Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099)
  2. You will now reach a page that asks if this is a social security benefit or Railroad Retirement benefits (Form RRB-1099)
  3. Your amount of your 1099 RRB is not included in your adjusted gross income for the State of Delaware if reported as outlined above..
  4. You may have mistakenly entered this as IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R). If this is the case, delete the entry and enter this as Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099) as directed.
