Why is turbotax not charging me tax on an IRA withdrawal that is not a ROTH?

Retirement tax questions

What code is in box 7 on your 1099-R?

Do you have non-deductible contributions in the IRA that were reported on a 8606 form?

No 8606 form. In Box 7 is the number 7. Thanks.

Retirement tax questions

How do you know it's not charging you tax? Or are you asking about the 10% Early Withdrawal Penalty?   Do you have an amount in 1040 line 4b?  Does it say Rollover by it or something?  Try deleting the 1099R and re enter it.

Before filing, you can preview the 1040 or print the whole return

I know because when I previewed my 1040, the IRA withdrawal was not in my income total.

Hello. I deleted and re-entered my IRA info, as you suggested earlier, and that seems to have done the trick. I can see the withdrawal included in my income total. Thanks for your help.
