To enter the SSA-1099 in TurboTax Online please follow the steps below.
- Sign into your Online account.
- Click the orange button that says "Take me to my return."
- Select Federal in the left side panel
- The go to Wages & Income at the top.

Next scroll down the page to Retirement Plans & Social Security.
- Then click Start next to Social Security(SSA-1099, RRB-1099 and continue through the screens to enter the information.
To enter the SSA-1099 in the TurboTax CD/Download software please follow the steps below.
- Go to Federal Taxes( Personal in Home & Business) at the top.
- Then go to Personal Income or Wages & Income and select "I'll choose what I work on.
- Scroll down the page to Retirement Plans & Social Security.
- Then click Start next to Social Security(SSA-1099, RRB-1099 and continue through the screens to enter the information.
