Traditional IRA basis is the amount of nondeductible traditional IRA contributions in your combined traditional IRA accounts, reported on your most recently filed Form 8606 (generally) line 14, plus any new nondeductible traditional IRA contributions made for the current tax year for which the tax return has not yet been filed.
