You may have mistakenly entered your retirement distribution as Canadian pension.
- Go to federal>wages and income
- Retirement plans and Social Security
- Scroll to Canadian registered pension select update
- If there is an entry, delete it
- Reenter your 1099R where it says IRA, 401K, pension plan withdrawals, (1099R)
