Thank you for the reply CarissaM. I thought since TT employees were responding on here that was enough. I called the support line. First for others calling the automated system will ask what you're calling about and when I said I was having a problem importing a 1099 it wanted to text or email a link. Don't bother and just say no to get a person. This is the link https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-search/1?q=Transfer%2BInfo%2B%2F%2BImport%2BData... you can check out first but I didn't see anything on there for this.
I explained the problem and all the steps I've tried as noted in my prior posts and she said that was all of the recommendations she had to offer. However, she checked and found a relevant investigation and added my email address to be notified when a solution was found. This is what I thought CarissaM or other employees posting on here could have told us about and why I asked "Are you doing something about it". This investigation may be what an earlier poster referred to when saying they were told a solution was coming on 3/3. Maybe it is still but is late.
So if you are still having trouble like me (and thank you for all of the suggestions from TT and others posting on here) and don't want to just wait for a solution to be posted here then I suggest to click the link above from CarissaM, call, and ask to be added to the investigation. Many calls may ensure a more robust effort.
TT employees posting here I'm don't know why you weren't aware but you could perhaps find about about this open investigation and post updates so folks don't have to call. Thanks.
