ESPP disqualifying disposition and W2 missing compensation income
My employer did not report compensation income for ESPP acquired in CY2021 and sold in CY2022.
Going through some old postings I still can't seem to figure out how to manually add the original income. Most posts want you to use form 3922, which I have, and TT always ends up calculating the correct compensation income that should have been added to my W-2 but wasn't.
I could answer no to "was this a sale of employee stock", then TT won't ask me any info on the ESPP portion and the final "Is this income included in wages" number will match my W-2.
Looking for the "best" way to handle this. Should I use TomYoung's suggestion and add "miscellaneous income"? I did step through this but none of the reason codes apply to this situation? The only thing remotely close is "H" but I did not receive 1099-MISC and/or 1099-NEC
