I owned a short-term rental property at the beginning of 2022 but sold it on 6/30/2022; so I owned it for 180 days in 2022.
Per the Turbo Tax screenshot, I am trying to determine and confirm the correct number of days rented to report for the rental property based on the following:
- Short-term renters rented the property for 104 days
- Property was available to be rented for 15 days
- Property was unavailable to be rented for 59 days due to various maintenance and improvement work activities
- I used the property for 2 days for vacation purposes
Am I correct in thinking that the "days rented at a fair rental price" number would be 119 days?
That is, 104 actual days rented + 15 available days to rent?
