My memory may be faulty, but I seem to recall this issue (or one similar maybe) about 3 or 4 years ago. The solution was to delete the 1099-MISC entirely, then save and exit the program completely. Then restart the program and basically enter the 1099-MISC anew.
One thing (again, memory may be rusty) that seemed to cause this issue was if you click the Back button in the process of entering the 1099-MISC. So make sure your entries on a screen are perfect, before you click the Next or Continue button.
