We own a home which has a 1 bedroom basement apartment which we rented in 2021. I want to depreciate a portion of the property. I understand turbo tax can do this calculation for me but in 2022 the home will be a complete rental for which I can depreciate the whole property. I just want to make sure I will be able to convert to this when I do my 2022 taxes.
