I bought Turbotax Business from Costco - and i have 2 companies that i need to file the tax return for.
1) An business located in NY Long Island (not NYC) that is an SCorp with single owner. When I am at the state return step, it prompted me with 4 things to purchase,
- New York Corporation
- New York City Corporation
- New York S Corp
- New York City Scorp
This scorp is not in NYC, so i chose to remove the NYC Corp, and NYC SCorp. But do i still have to purchase the New York Corporation given that its an SCorp? it is $50 for each and I dont want to buy it if i dont need it. We did get 1099 from some business thats located in NYC. Does that make me having to buy the NYC S Corp?
2) A Brother + Sister in a Partnership located in NYC. When I am doing the State return, it prompted me with
- New York State Partnership Return
- New York City Partnership.
Each of these is $50 dollars, and I purchased the New York State Partnership return. Do i also need the NYC Partnership form?
