I went through the Vermont tax return and did see questions regarding the rental of your homestead for the Vermont Homestead Declaration. If you did not rent your home, please choose the following answers:
- Choose Owned Home as of December 31 for the question Did you own or rent your Vermont home in 2021?
- Enter the location of the home on the page Location of Homestead Property Owned
- Enter the City
- Answer NO for the question Did you use any part of of your homestead during 2021?
- Answer NO for the question Did you rent any portion of your homestead during 2021?
- Answer NO for the question Are improvements or other buildings located on your parcel used for business or renting out?
- Check none of the boxes on the Homestead Special Situations page
- Enter 0 for months rented out on page Required Information.
