You are asking about the Michigan homestead property tax credit.
You'll get this credit if you meet the following criteria:
-You own or rent a home, condo, or apartment
-Your home value is less than $135,000
-Your income level is $60,000 or less
-You're a Michigan resident
When you get to the screen in the Michigan interview that is headed "Take a look at Michigan Credits and Taxes". Scroll down to the subheading "Personal, Home, and Family Credits" and click Start on the line for Homestead Property Tax Credit. TurboTax will ask a series of questions to establish your eligibility for the credit.
