It's very important for you to keep a copy of your records for the rental property since it will be important for tax purposes until you dispose of it (sell it).
You may need to delete the Schedule E from your return by using the steps below. Be sure to delete any form associated with the Schedule E (worksheets, depreciation as example).
- Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
- In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
- In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
- Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.
