Why is form 8949 generated for some 1099-B stock trades but not others?
I read that "When your Category A,D transactions on your 1099-B have no adjustments, Form 8949 is not required"
I had a total of about 150 trades. There was only about 36 trades reported on form 8949. Only one of these 36 trades had an adjustment ( a wash sale ) So my question is why weren't all the trades reported on form 8949 or only the one trade with the wash adjustment?
I imported the 1099-B from etrade.
Just want to make sure I don't trigger an audit because most trades were not on form 8949. Something must be triggerring TT to create form 8949 from the 1099-B entry and its not always an adjustment like a wash sale.
There has to be a logical explanation
Thanks in advance
