Investors & landlords
TDAmeritrade might send you a Form 8949, for your convenience, but they are required to send you a 1099-B for your trades through them. The usual pattern is that you enter your individual trades reported on the 1099-B using the "Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other" interview and that information gets summarized on Form 8949.
