I did the EXACT same thing and had a mental meltdown.  I managed a property in TurboTax for 10 years and sold it last year, without trying to rent it.  I told TurboTax that I sold the property earlier, and it very helpfully said "OK We'll be sure to use your depreciation."  BUT as soon as I said i didn't try to rent it, it COMPLETELY DELETED all records of the property.   Horrible workflow, especially since I told the system I sold the property.

 

Ultimately, I just wiped out all of my work and started over, and the property info is now back.   For those working on TurboTax Online, it's under "Tax Tools -> Clear & Start Over."  Hope this helps others.
