I posted a sample following your criteria and did not get the same result Line 1b(2) remained blank. I suggest that you delete that record and re-enter it. I posted as:
- I did not get a 1099-B
- Delete the old record
- Add a new record
- I choose Stock as type of investment
- Enter your information
- I said I bought the stock (one time)
- Continue through final screens
The Capital Gains Worksheet has no entry in 1b(2)
