I assume the old condenser was part of an AC unit that was set up for depreciation. 

 

If so, it would be best to note the basis of the old unit (cost less accumulated depreciation) and then remove the asset. Then, add the basis of the old unit to the cost of the compressor, and set that up for depreciation based on the estimated useful life of the system after you added the new condenser.

 

As an alternative, you could leave the old asset alone and just set up the condenser as a new asset.
