Your state return is populated by data entered into your Federal Return, so you want to make sure that TurboTax is not showing a secondary rental property.  Here is how you can check while you are in TurboTax:

  1. While in your Tax Home,
  2. Select Search from the top right of your screen,
  3. Enter Schedule E,
  4. Select Jump to Schedule E,
  5. Continue through the on-screen prompts, until you
  6. see your Rental and Royalty Summary,
  7. Select Delete next to the secondary property.
