If we had another family (of 5) living with us for 6 months this year and paid most of their expenses and did not charge them rent,is any part of that deductible?

This family lost their house (foreclosure), so we allowed them to stay with us on a "temporary" basis, but it ended up being longer than expected.  The mother did not have a job, and we ended up paying for the majority of their expenses.  The father had a job, but lived in a different state.
