You do not have to amend your tax return for this purpose, be sure to maintain all of your records with your tax return files. If the IRS wants you to mail the Form 8949, they will let you know.
Occasionally, this is requested even if you E-filed your return. If this occurs, you can send a copy of your 1099 statement as well, if not there is nothing else required right now.
