Unfortunately, I can't find this question, at least not in my Premier Desktop version. I went through:
- Other Tax Situations > Additional taxes and repayments, but it has only specific boxes for various recaptures, installment sales, etc., but no question or free-form entry for "additional modifications."
- Other Tax Forms > Miscellaneous tax forms... The "Learn More" link claims that it covers 8960, but the actual interview questions also don't add anything else.
- I even tried deleting 8960 altogether, but the program just recreated it without triggering any additional interview questions.
Looks like I have to do this in Forms view after all (in the 8960 worksheet, not the form itself). Thankfully that was easy enough, which I appreciate about TurboTax. But it would be nice if this were automatic in next year's version.
