So... I was able to work around this problem, thanks to Chatgpt (not anyone from Turbotax, unfortunately). The secret is this... start a new tax return. You can tell TurboTax to populate it with your prior year's information, but otherwise, don't work on it at all. Find the "Import" section and import your brokerage information (as the first thing you do). Then, once you have verified that it's there, you can begin working on the rest of the return.
