I still need help.
Amy C said it was looking for year 2023. Should be 2024 which is the previous year to 2025.
Line D on Earlier Year Tax Return Smart Worksheett is looking for the part of my SS that was taxable, not the total tax reported. That is found on Line 6b on the 2024 1040A. Amy C said it was looking for the totall tax reported. Maybe she was on the wrong form.
Most of the right click options do nothing, including override. I am able to add details. They only way to get this box not be red is to enter 0 for the amount. Then line 7 of the worksheet below also goes to 0, which is not the correct value.
If it knows the correct value, what is it not auto upulating? I have been using TT for many years.
This has to be a bug in the checking software.
Form: Earlier Year Lump Sum Social Security Worksheet. Then to the Earlier Year Tax Return Smart Worksheet. Line D
Also, How about updating the information to reflect the current year, or just say "After 2020 use 6b."
