Do I enter real estate taxes on the 1098 even if it is already reported as an expense in the rental section?
I am filling the data from my 1098 forms received from the lender and I have entered the real estate taxes paid there. However, that is for a rental, and in the rental section in Turbot Tax, I have already reported that as an expense. It seems incorrect to report that in both the places...
Can you please confirm? For my rental, should I just leave the real estate taxes section empty when adding the 1098 details?
