12 months idle rental real estate
if a long term rental property has been vacant for 12 months, no repairs, not advertised for rent, no rental income and questions answered correctly in software the property drops off schedule E, the property is almost fully depreciated, however there is a small mortgage & property tax my questions are
1) is Taxpayer allowed to write mortgage/taxes off on schedule A?
2) will the fact that property is being left off Schedule E...will this trigger an audit?
