Is this a TurboTax thing, or an IRS code requirement?

I've been struggling for months w/a property where I lived for 20yrs; then moved & rented in 2013. I sold mineral rights & realized royalties in 2014. I cannot tell if it's TurboTax that can't handle the situation or if I need to report it differently.
