It depends. If all your 529 plan distributions were spent on qualified educational purposes and if Room and Board was not included with those expenses, you would not enter them at all. Entering these will not lower your taxes; they just prevent you from being charged more taxes on your 529 gains.
Since all your 529 distributions were already spent on education expenses, none of the distributions were taxable in the first place.
