She paid the electricity portion of the bill in December and pulled it from the 529, and waited until January to pay the fixed rent portion, and pulled that last week. Her expenses for rent Sept through Dec, plus electricity Sept - Nov, and food was less than the fall semester COA. We'll prorate rent through graduation, and claim electricity through April at least (will be billed in June?), maybe not bother with a week (graduation is May 9) in May, depends on whether she's hit the COA or not.
