Q. I didn't realize I would have to check TurboTax moving the amount on line 9 (student info worksheet) to Schedule 1, line 8r and then to line 8 on the 1040?
A. No, that should all happen automatically. I tested it on my 2023 program, and it works.
I don't have an explanation why an amount on line 9 (student info worksheet) isn't automatically going to line 8r of schedule 1.
