You cannot add 2023 education info, including the 1098-T, to your 2024 tax return.
Were you a grad or undergrad in 2023. Grad students are not usually eligible for the partially refundable American Opportunity Credit (AOC). You must have a tax liability to get any of the Lifetime Learning Credit (LLC). You cannot claim an education credit if you are also claimed as a dependent by someone else (parent). You are not eligible for the refundable portion of the AOC, if you CAN be claimed as a dependent, even if you aren't actually claimed and/or you are full time student, under 24, whose earned income is not more than half their support.
