1099-Q and 1099-T for dependent student?

I'm doing my dependent son's taxes. I indicated he's in college and completed the 1098-T and 1099-Q parts of the questionnaire. But TT said his qualified 529 distributions were taxable. I backed out all the education information (per TT forums suggesting a dependent can't benefit from any of this information anyway). Is this ok? In other words, I say he's a full time college student but don't list any college expenses or distributions (as they are qualified and don't exceed expenses - and I claim them on my own return). Will the IRS have any issues with this?
