I'm parent. My child is dependent college student and is required to file 1040 due to income. Recipient of 1099-Q is college student. When entering the information in TurboTax I can't get beyond the Federal Review because it sends me back to the "education topic to review entries". Can't figure out why. I have read that I do not need to enter any of this information into TurboTax for my child's return because Box 1 of 1099-Q is less than Box 1 of 1098-T, but I would still like to have this info entered correctly. Can anyone explain why TT won't let me proceed?
Also, do I have to enter anything on my filings?
